Bose L1 Product Review
About a year ago, an outside sound-man convinced our pastor to purchase these speakers without talking to me. I am a huge fan of Bose speakers, but I knew that these speakers would bot be adequate for our church
services.
Our church is a Hispanic church and the worship team puts out as much volume as possible.
These speakers sound great and do push the volume the best that they can, but they are not made for a full band, and at the volume that we put out.
These speakers are great for a simple worship set with a keyboard and a few guitars at a regular sound level, but they struggles once those instruments are added together and then add vocals.
Another issue that we found with this system is that they are meant to be on the floor, but this places the speakers too low for the sound to travel properly over the congregation. We thought that we could maybe hang the columns from the ceiling, but that is not able to be done with the L1 series.
Don't get me wrong, these are great speakers, but you must be aware of their application.
I would suggest them for a typical congregational, or even a traveling church, but I would not suggest them for any sort of Pentecostal church as they will not be adequate.
